I've had a go at this - last night I played for about two hours and came back to it tonight and all my fish had died, tonight I've been playing for about two hours again and all the fish are the same breed now so there's no way that I can succeed as you need different fish to produce new breeds.
Plus, it take ages for something to actually happen.
I suspect I'm not playing the game correctly.
