They were definitely the more 'popish' end of the new romantic/electronic groups. I didn't dislike them but wouldn't say I was a huge fan either. I did like People are People because I liked the words.

They were actually really hard to dance to though, despite being more popish than The Cure or groups like that.

I once walked past Dave Gahn in the street in Manchester - took me about an hour to realise why that bloke had looked so familiar - they were all a bit ordinary.
