Yes I know that - I get enough of them, but I was referring to the classroom situation. If a child talking about his 'mummy' is asked to refer to her as a parent in case it upsets a child with 2 daddies all I'm saying is that the child calling her a parent could just as easily upset a child who lives with granny.
