If you were in the police woul you have genuinely responded to it? Remember that the police force spend more time on following up their investigations with paperwork, and do you think this was worth that hassle when they may have been needed somewhere else more urgently?
I had to wait over an hour after being jumped by a gang of girls once, but I still have faith in the police and didn't really think too much about them taking so long. In fact, afterwards I felt like I had wasted their time because I knew there were no witnesses to back me up, at least none that bothered to stop to help me, and no other evidence. For all I know the police could've been busy wasting time on calls like yours that delayed them actually getting to me, same goes for that poor man in the park. I think people waste more police time than they realise because they want a perfect society, and we should just accept it's not going to happen and just accept that sometimes the law is broken and with limited police resources, we unfortunately have to be a bit more selective about which crimes we report an which we dont. Unfortunately that's just the way it is.

well that says it all heh, lets be selective about WHICH crimes we report, so Blazey is a closet socialist trying to keep the crime figures down

a crime is a crime simple as n somebody driving a car across a darkened field is LIFE threatning to any poor sod walking their dog, or taking a short cut, as i know from the field up owd bobs, but lets not bother reporting that Blazey has spoken.
