Macca & all,

The problem is that for membership of the Football League it is a requirement for a 5000 (useable) capacity.

Dispensation is given for new arrivals ( ASFC ) for 1 season only. On a techincality Mansfield are breaking the rules. If Mansfield don't get there capacity increased on the "S" factor they will be "demoted" whatever position they finish in.

That's why is vital at ASFC we continue to jump thro the many hoops LCC( our safety certificate issuer) impose on us as we need the whole of our atcual capacity 5075 to remain in FL membership.

For our 1st season in the league, we were only operating on a "S" factor of 85% ( whilst on trial) with around 4600 allowed in the ground. This year due to the competance of the stewards and the hard work of Mick S our "S" factor has increased to 100%, which allows us to admit 5075 people.

This is the 2nd time this season Notts CC have lost faith in Mansfield safety people, hence why at times they appear to be "jobsworth's"!

Interesting times ahead!!
