Re: Kenny Arthur

Vic, I was gutted to lose Symesy as well but, as I said a long time ago, I don't blame him for taking the opportunity to better himself, especially as, last year, we did not have sufficient faith in him to give him a longer deal. As it happened, I didn't think at the time that his pedigree deserved one, but we live and learn - to be fair to him. he exceeded all our expectations and has, unfortunately for us, moved on to a better standard (or so he hopes!) Whether he can cut it at that level remains to be seen, but I wish him well.
However, in spite of the fact that I agree with much of what you have said about him - as a provider as well as a goalscorer - I have to say that your regular "Michael Symes Appreciation Society" postings are starting to wear a little thin. He's gone, he's no longer a Stanley player - how good he is or was no longer has any relevance to this forum. The same might be said of Darren Kempson and Bobby Grant. (I personally feel that Bobby might struggle without Symesy alongside him, but we shall see.)
Darren, with the best will in the world is "nowt special" as he has proved over the years, wherever he has been, but I hope he finds a suitable niche at his "big club"

What we should be looking for now is for Coley to work his magic on Craig Lindfield, just as he did with Symes, so that, if Michael turns out to be no better than the player he was when Coley signed him, then it will already be too late and STANLEY will have moved on. He may then have to look to ply his trade at a "big" club like Grimsby. Let's just wait and see!
