well i certainly hope thats the case, but Richie Barker is an inexperienced youth coach (I think) who was already on the books. He was given the job to start with in order to maintain continuity and try to keep the same ideas, players, and spirit that Knill had used to get them to 2nd place. Especially if they get promotion he won't have the same players, won't have the contacts to get the right new players in, little or no knowledge of contract negotiations etc etc.
You'd imagine that with the opportunity that promotion will bring to the club they'd not really want to gamble that opportunity against inexperience. But I hope they do
