Pompey match thread

Hoping for a great game and result to get us going again at home. This could be the start of a significant stage in a promotion push and it sounds like Coley has got the lads fired up. I have just re-read Phil Whalley's wonderful book "The club that wouldn't die" and it seems to me that we could be on the verge of something big again. I just hope our supporters are up for it!

If the frost does set in, it'll be partly the clubs fault for failing to have undersoil heating put in

I personally don't think rain will be the problem, but snow and ice is another story entirely, although the temperatures look like holding above freezing (only just), like others, I am hoping to see a game this Saturday and the following Tuesday but the weather gods may be jinxing us, though hope not.

Re: Pompey match thread

Does the fact it would be a frozen pitch mean it would only be a disgrace only meriting a letter or are disgraces consecutive in which case it would be a ginormous disgrace which merited a phonecall

Re: Pompey match thread

Portsmouth themselves didn't get undersoil heating despite spending 7 years in the premier league, the majority of which they didn't have a roof over away fans either.

Since when were clubs in the 4th division expected to have undersoil heating? It won't get cold enough for long enough as it is forecasted. It is hard to see this one being off.
