Re: 2018/19 Prediction League; Game 24 v Shrewsbury Town (home)

Shrews Tamed - Was Coley Shakespeare In A Previous Life?

We didn't think a lot of the Shrews chances, evidently, with 23 out of 24 predictions going for the win and only AccyBeMe demurring with the thought of a draw. This would normally suggest a catastrophic defeat was looming , but thankfully the Gods weren't watching , so the day produced 7 maxis, 10 players with 4 points and 6 of us with the bare 3. ABM was left high and dry on the fence with a single bonus point for their consolation goal .

No new entries to the Top Ten, but a bit of shuffling about, with Lord S's maxi taking him a point further clear of Cashman and Kiwi John, and maxis for Tom D, Mab and Leylandii lifting them from 6th, 7th and 8th to 5th, 6th and 7th= at the expense of MikeA (down from 5th to share 7th with Leylandii) and Revived Red, down one spot to 9th. The mid-table maxis produced lesser gains for Monkey Hanger, Ossy Kid and Accytom18.

I'll keep this short as the next game is looming up, and it's the Posh rolling on up on Saturday. They've gone off the boil a bit recently after a great start to the season (not as much as we had though ) and with a bit of luck we might have that nice Mr Evans hearing his Chairman expressing faith in him on Sunday morning , with our first double of the season under our belts. Why not? This is Stanley, after all …….

On Stanley On!!
