Just get planting those tomato seeds, KJ, and collect the rain, there’s a drought coming.

Hmmm, I admire your meteorological knowledge for my part of the world- or did you mean 'drought' as in F*** All points? I need to select variety very carefully this season, as last years crop didn't really bring Stanley many victories. The time is near for planting-21st October is recommended, but I might need to risk chucking them in much sooner.

Not familiar with those ones Stiffy, but I take your point..( which is more than our football team can manage )

Re: League table

Too much quality missing in key positions for me. No proper spine to the team. Doolan certainly doesn't know or is able to play his best eleven. Perhaps it is too early to judge. Results in next 5 games will now be crucial to how the season pans-out.

I think you can probably blame me for this one. First time I've watched in yonks, and they concede within a minute. Hey ho ......

Luckily the rest of my weekend away went much better!

Re: League table

I've asked this a lot and don't seem to get a proper answer.
It aso seems to get washed over in the Manager's interviews.
What injury has Whalley sustained and what is the prognosis ?
I might have missed the answer.

Re: League table

Doolan said before Cheltenham that he wasn’t worried because we were creating chances. Time for him to worry then, because we did not create awt at Cheltenham, the only chance a wayward cross that dropped onto the crossbar.

He also said that “we believe in what we are doing”. I wonder what that is, cause I don’t believe in it. There is no quality in midfield, mainly because we don’t have one. With five at the back and Coyle an inch and a half ahead of the centre back trio, what else can you do but hoof a long ball up for someone to chase?

Doolan may not be worried, but he should be, and I am very worried.

Re: League table

I know people from the club read this message board.
It would be good if the club arranged for a supporters forum to be arranged (soon) with the manager in attendance in clearing up our concerns.

I can understand why our manager “washes over” specific injuries to specific players.
From what I understand, he has a quad strain/injury but, if that’s true, I don’t know which of the six muscles are involved.

Re: League table

I too am very worried Greger mainly because so far this season appears to being a rerun of last season with the managers comments after a game seeming to be again a rerun of last seasons interviews. It has been said before on here this season "there is no Morecambe or Carlisle to save us this season".
