Where Is This ?

This old property is within approx 50 yards ( or metres for those who don`t know what a Yard is ) of a main road in Accy.

Is this the building that is behind the Swan pub on Manchester Road. Now used as a store room for The Pub.

Yes. Thought "Yes" was all that needed to be said but the Prog needed more letters -- so have obliged.

The date appears to be 18??.......judging by the windows on the side, it looks, as per Atarah, like it could be from one of those buildings on Cannon Street....then again, it could be from the side of a church/chapel building (assuming some of these are left)......it looks too intricate to be on the side of a pub building. It's almost certain to be a building that was once/possibly is of civic or ecclesiastical importance.

Nice one Mick -- I often wander around looking for this type of old stonecarving but this has me puzzled. Will guess it`s in Church.

Eh?

What sort of clue is that? How "near" is near? Arguably the coppice is near the town centre, but it's not up there & we know it's not on the side of the sacred heart, because thats gone. It does not look like it's stuck on the side of the sports centre, the arndale or the new fire station either.....is it up Peel Street?
