User Guides

My answering machine has gone on the blink .. can't hear a word the caller says. Sunday, bought a new smart little 'twin' black and steel number BT.

The phones are still overcharging now before implementation. The user guide has 97 pages of instruction ... I have not the patience, nor any brain cells still functioning, after a day's work, to cope with the understanding of same.

Problem is, everytime I replace this type of wonder of technology, there are more features.

Think I will just plug it in and hope for the best.

Learnt this trick when son was young with those Transformer thingies .. he never read instructions .. just got on with it and constructed whilst I was still on Page 3.

Perhaps I am showing my age now...

It's the same with mobile phones. You get these all singing all dancing video (we do veedoo?) camera phones with MP3 players and WAP wossanames, more features than you can shake a stick at but most of the time all you want to do is phone somebody or send a text message and can you find the bit of the instruction book which explains how to perform this simple feat? Can you billy thump!

She meant when she was still in it, not reading it.

Re: User Guides

She's still got it though.

Though now she needs her specs to read the instructions...if only she could find them.
