Re: Coley's and the rest
Given the total lack of support from both the inhabitants and its council for the football club, is anyone surprised?
However, maybe the club could make it the first and only venue where people could have unamplified music to celebrate their events by having a brass band.
They can make just as much of din as any dj.

Re: Coley's and the rest
There has to be something we, as fans, can do about this - it's an absolutely disgraceful decision! People are losing their jobs, others are having to find new venues for weddings, christenings etc at very short notice all because of a small minority of Nimbys!

Re: Coley's and the rest
Surly you can have a birthday, wedding or social without blasting people's ears off a hundred yards away, tone the noise down to the maximum allowed which would probably also please a lot of the guests. Try it, it's better than cancelling events.

On a similar vein, I’ve asked why the pre-match music has to be blasted out at what seems like maximum volume for an hour before KO. There’s a speaker on every stansion in the Clayton End and it can be difficult to talk to fellow fans and friends without shouting.
OK, turn it up with 15 minutes to go but not everyone appreciates hearing the same tunes (sic) played in the same order at deafening levels.

Re: Coley's and the rest
So whats going to happen with night games if the cut off is 7.30pm ?
The statements from the club and the media articles are a little confusing to say the least.
Andy might as well just bite the bullet and do the soundproofing as being someone whos been involved in numerous licence reveiws once its got this far its the only solution
People should make their own enquiries as to who was on the panel and certainly as far as the elected members go let them know your displeasure at their actions and point out to them that there are elections due in May

Re: Coley's and the rest
Good luck trying to find any information about Licensing Committee meetings.
It seems to be more secretive than Mi5 for all the information publicly available on the ironically titled “democracyhyndburn” web page.

Re: Coley's and the rest
I get the anger and I'm fully behind the team but, as I see it, the problem stems from the building not complying with the plans that received planning permission. I think they were the ones that had a smaller venue and the changing rooms behind the stand. Business people have a habit of doing things like this and assume it can be sorted out later but sometimes it comes back to bite you.

Re: Coley's and the rest
There are the Planning Enforcement issues as well as Licensing ones.
Getting planning permission then not adhering to it is a shocking mistake, and leaves the club defenceless now.
I think the bars will open for night games, and the same Spotify play list will continue to be blasted out over the tannoy until everyone knows each song.

Sound dB meter that turns the music off if it's to loud! A lot of venues have these installed....

Re: Coley's and the rest
Andy Holt having his say on Twitter today about the problems the club has had with the Venue and "our neighbours and the Council". Check it out if you can. I'm not technically savy enough to copy his comments into this forum.....I'm sure someone on here may have the skills to do it?

No i.m pretty sure certain people wont want what they said and which way they voted being made public and being there for the world to see on the council's own website
But the hearings are open to the public and i don't get why the club didn't publicise the date of the review and fill the place with fans that way certain people may not have voted the way that they did know it would become public knowledge and could well have an effect on their future prospects of being re elected.
If i was Andy i.d go after every single one of them who voted for this outcome stand and fund a Stanley candidate against every last one of them.
