the tower is known as a Folly as we know

it's also said it's Hunted but I would look that one up.

ya I find that as well parky = think there is only a few that are Photos and not water colours paintings like they are on the site --- must have been a thing to have them done that way

wish I could get my hands on all the Photos they have in the Library but at £5 to £6 a copy forget it thats what I got told and thats accy and ossy Librarys

these are brill Post cards Staggeringman --- the last one I can't Place is there a name on the back mom thinks it's round John street near some pens that was there at the time she not sure .

not so sure it might be looking up to the bridge,if you look at it long enough you can imagine it being the main bridge down by the firestation, up at straits for a pint tonight so will have a nosy!

Is the last one not, what is now the link road between High street and Fern Gore, the house on the right of the photo is still there ?

how about SMITHY BRiDGE top end of ossy looks something like it Cottages on the left hand side going up only thing is the Building cross the other side can't think of it there is new houses there now what you guys think

come across a postcard with this on, it has to be originally hand drawn and then printed wish i had the original.after looking at the tower in the first piccie and this hand drawn its obvious to see that a lot of people used to draw / paint this tower and all at differant angles.

That would be where the old play area was then ? The band stand was further back behind the new play area when we moved here.

I know what a bloody mess EH to see it like that and there only one girl working there but I have be told there will be no one there at all and be but on rounds for cutting and the rest and they want to spend money whos going to look after it after == you == me jo blogs

Part of the lottery grant includes for maintenance once the work is completed, may be 5 years, but we will just have to wait and see. Not seen any information regarding this "friends of rhyddings park" yet. Anyone any info.

if you go in the golden cross in ossy you can see pics of ossy in the old days, i used to go to rhyddings and been back there to see how its changed so much
