Christmas lights maybe???

Has anyone else noticed that halfway down every lampost on union rd there is a wire hanging out with a socket on the end, every lampost from the black dog to the town hall has one. I wonder if we are going to have some desent christmas lights this year, anyone got any other ideas why they are there ??? some people think they are cameras, but on closer inspection they are sockets.

Just found out the sockets are for defibrillators to bring the hanging baskets back to life.

The European Human Rights Act states that the gyppo's have to be provided with free lecky whenever they foist themselves on the local population.
Standpipes and portaloos will be installed next week... :D

They'll be for post mount christmas light frames.
Who's paid for the electrics to be installed, who's paying for the electric used, who's paying for the lights, who's paying for erection and dismantling, who's paying for maintainence, who's paying for stoarage. Who's paying for insurance while they're up.

Christmas lights cost an absolute fortune for them to be done professionally.
electrics installed is over a hundred per lamp post, a decoration frame is between 360 and a thousand per lamp post to buy.
Councils do not get electricity free.

S'ok...s'ppose.

Hardly Las Vegas strip, but at least they can't kill them all, like they did when they didn't water the hanging baskets.:D
