Where did those goats come from?
We now have 2 goats in Rhyddings Park's Pet's corner.
Why not take the kids to see them while they are on holiday? They went in on Saturday to join the rabbits, ducks, peacocks, chickens, pheasants, budgies etc. I always miss some of them out as we keep adding new ones :) |
Re: Where did those goats come from?
Neil the title of this thread has really enlightened me as to how dim you really are
goats come from goats...you have a mummy goat and a daddy goat, daddy goat and mummy goat get together and make baby goat....not rocket science :D *shaz runs off FAST* |
Re: Where did those goats come from?
They actually came from a farm der brain. Our two wont be making and baby goats. Well if they do someone is in for making a lot of money. They are both boy goats, in fact one of them is an ex-boy goat ;)

I havnt been to the park since school , i cant imagine it has changed much though can anyone remember doing the rhyddings cross country run that we were forced to do every week, we used to cut through rhyddings park, looking back i dont think it made much of a shortcut as it was mostly up hill until you got to ferngore, by that time you were too knackerd to run downhill, and whoever invented those tight blue PE knickers was numb:( |

If the Parks for People Lottery bid is successful we are planning to move the pets area to the current tennis/basketball court area. This will give us a larger more secure area for the animals. The gates are opened in the morning, usually before 8am and closed at night about 7pm ish at the moment. |

The Councillor you are referring to lives within a few yards of the Pets Corner. |
Re: Where did those goats come from?
is there a particular time the animals are fed? we went op to a farm and feeding time was his faviourite bit!
|
Re: Where did those goats come from?
Nope not really. They eat when they want. Just take a couple of carrots and feed the goats, mind your finger though just in case they try to bite them. The White one is more friendly than the brown one.

Re: Where did those goats come from?
Ya' know Neil, really gone up in my estimation .. :)
What a lovely thread .. will give you some of that there Karma, just a bribe really so you don't throw Mez and me off the swings when we come to visit. tee hee. |
Re: Where did those goats come from?
Any one fancy a mass accyweb trip to the park tomorro? :)
|
Re: Where did those goats come from?
Is there an age limit for the petters?
|
Re: Where did those goats come from?
Well I've been to see them for myself and can I just say that they look very cute. I'd advise keeping your hands out of the cages though as they look like they'd happily chew on anything that was poked through!

I think Pet's Corner is great, a real asset.
Well done to the Friends of Rhydding's Park, who have made it happen. |

Re: Where did those goats come from?
Took Ellie up to see the goats this afternoon, she loved it, they were chasing each other around which she thought was hilarious, got to say though the rabbits were her favourite, she said tonight before bed that the best part of her day was visiting the animals. Thanks Neil for reminding me that they were there.
