Would be better if we could turn that sentence around and it said.
"Makes a change to see a NICE pub open in Ossy"
Not getting at other pubs coz don't go in most of them, but you get my meaning.

Keetah, you beat me to it! :D

This one is always opening and shutting......and when it's open you daren't go in for fear of coming out with your head hanging off.

The last time I was in there was around 3 years ago when it opened as Last Orders, it had been closed for a long time prior to that so we just popped in for a look.

I have never seen anything like it in my life.....a fight broke out, people were jumping all over the place and the chairs and tables were being thrown!

We couldn't find the door quick enough....it's frightening to think what could have happened if we'd got caught up in that.

We haven't been in since and we won't ever be going in again as I believe that this night was not a one off occurrence. :(

Not my idea of a good night.

Just look at that eyesore next to it as well.

Is it not time we started taking these old unused buildings down to make the town look more respectable?

There will be another fire there shortly to make sure that is unusable, in order to avoid the new rules on payment of business rates.
Let's hope the arsonists do a proper job this time - ie. 'unsafe' = demolition

I actually popped in on friday, and the beer is cheaper than when the previous tenant had it. The new landlord seemed quite welcoming and there was no trouble at all.

Re: "The Printer's Pub" has re-opened!

Just an update about The Printers...

We have opened the pub three weeks ago and now have a friendly atmosphere and we are also members of the pub watch scheme.

We have installed new pumps with cheaper prices than before.

We are also putting all major sporting events on the big screen live.

Karaoke will be starting at the weekends on Friday nights and Disco nights on Saturday from 8pm.

We want this to be a nice local pub that you can all visit.

Come in and see for yourself all the changes.

I would rather spend those evenings in a cockroaches nest.

Instead of the traditional drunks screaming off key to the pretended pleasure of their equally stoned mates, (karaoke), why not pay a little extra for real musicians, that can entertain everybody, having a decent appreciative audience would frighten off the drunks and could just get you a decent clientèle, that feels comfortable to enter the place?

Yeah thats something we are considering at the moment, we need to get people in first.

Would be ideal to have nice locals coming in every weekend to listen to a good singer or band etc.
