any one seen him? |
Re: lost cat
Take it that's Commercial St in Ossy?
If he's only been missing since last night it's early days. Especially as it's a male cat. They tend to wander now and then, especially if they haven't been neutered. :) |
Re: lost cat
he only goes out for about an hour then comes back in, never spent 1 night out before he will be frightend now as he will only use his litter tray, wont do it outside
|
Re: lost cat
It didn't come for a pie today, but l'll tell my brother to kep an eye out for him.
|
Re: lost cat
Have a black and white cat hanging around here, will see if it has a red collar on next time I see it, and will pm you if it has, after I make an attempt to catch it!

Well the cat we have was hanging around for around 5 weeks, the last 2 of which we were on holiday, when we came back she was very thin and I gave in, fed her and took her for a check up, then as you say, she moved in! |
Re: lost cat
dont give up, mine is a house cat and she got out a few weeks back and we searched everywhere for her, she turned up 6 days later absolutely starving, so im sure he will come back home. good luck.x

Re: lost cat
Several feral cats survive on the alottments near me.
They find shelter in the buildings and eat mice and voles. |

What a hurtful thing to say. I have had cats all my life, and yes when they die we are upset, but they are part of the family. I find your response very hurtful |

Well' we have no problems with field mice since we got a cat. Just the odd bird she tends to bring us. ( ALIVE) |

I did not want an animal in our house in the first place. Animals outside where they belong is fine. Houses are for people. People seam to think cats are clean animals, they are not! The leave their dirt in other people gardens for their children to play in. Even worse than that - some people actually let their do it inside the house in a tray of dust. Would anyone like to tell me that it is nice and hygienic to have cat dirt in your house - some people actually put the cat litter tray in their kitchens yuk. Then you get the even stranger ones with 3 or 4 cats running around doing their dirt in trays and flicking on the floor as they try and bury it. I know its disgusting isn't it? |
Re: lost cat
NEIL
you are obviously not a anilmal lover, then why do you think cats are allways cleaning themselves constantly!!! as of my cat his tray is cleaned on a weekly basis. And it does not matter how many cats you have as long as they are trained to do there stuff in the correct manner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: lost cat
There are practices which ensure that keeping a cat in your home does not compromise hygiene.
A lidded cat litter situated next to the toilet on a hard floor. My cat has a special call to tell me when he has soiled, and I use a scoop to remove the soil out of the litter tray into the toilet. The scoop is stored in a sterilising solution.(denture cleaning tablets have many uses) The urine is absorbed into quality cat litter and changed weekly. Urine does not emit smells if you use quality litter. Urine is less of a home health hazard than two days worth of food scraps rotting in a kitchen bin. Unlike dogs, cats lick their bodies clean daily. There is some hazard from hair shedding which regular use of a vaccuum cleaner solves. These hygiene measures use time effort and expense, but are regarded as a small price to pay in return for the companionship and affection a cat provides. There is the added bonus that your home will never be invaded by rodent vermin. |

Re: lost cat
I've only just seen this thread, Paul, and I'm so pleased you got your cat back safely. Sad that your request for help in finding him had to elicit a few hurtful "what I don't like about cats" replies but all's well that ends well. :)
