Upside down Christmas tree

I will double check on this tomorrow when I pass, but, am sure have seen a Christmas Tree, in the front window of a hairdressers shop in Ossy, UP SIDE DOWN. Is this a new trend I ask myself. I was passing in a car, so only saw it for a split second. It appeared to be an artificial tree, but was stood on its point (honest, am not loosing it!). It was decorated and looked lovely, but...it has left me scratching my head. Its on the right hand side going up, from Church direction. Think its nearer to the top end, i.e. Black Dog
This is how I am used to seeing trees :)

They used to have upside down Christmas trees in Woolworths.......suspended from the ceiling........well didn't take up any floor space, and was not likely to be knocked over.

I have read about upside down trees being used in rituals by ancient civilisations, but can't remember which -- I think it was in the Americas, but not sure

We got one of these last year due to the fact that it took up a lot less room and you could get all the presents under it easily without it taking up too much floor space.

As well as it being something different, it looked lovely when decorated and received a lot of positive comments from visitors.
