oswaldtwistle policing?

People used to laugh at gordon browns weekly rants at PMQs in the commons that a tory govenment means fewer doctors, fewer nurses, fewer police on the streets but the question now is where are the police at all ?In ossy no apparent police patrols,no PCSOs on bikes any more,in fact the only regular patrol keeping us safe is the dog warden! The boy racers in the Heyes/heron way area are having a field day,not one or two but a group of five last night, but we can be confident that his highness in the royal mews in new lane will have the situation in hand:(

The 'handbrake turns' are practiced in the gravelled area beside the allotments at the top of Heron Way. I think that the police are put off by the uphill pedalling needed.

Besides that, they are likely to meet 6 boy racers doing 60mph coming down.

One has to wonder just what the parents of these "Boy Racers" are up to, or do they not care:mad:

Have the cuts you mention become law yet ?

I thought 20th Oct. was the day they were to be announced .

If policing is poor in Oswaldtwistle , can the blame be put on the present Government ?

Anyway I thought Ossie was full of law-abiding citizens .;)

Instead of moaning about it on here, pick up the phone and report it. Make sure you get a case number from the Police. When you phone again next time quote that case number. That keeps the case open and makes a mess of there figures.

The last time I suggested something like this on the pavement bike riders I was accused of politicising a thread:confused::confused::confused:

Bit like the Gt. Harwood one which is about to lose its counter service after two years of it being built. Disgraceful.

My cousin from Morecambe was married to a Police man in the 60's and he was posted to Oswaldtwistle, the police house he was allocated was one of a few at the very bottom left or Thwaites road. They had never heard of Oswaldtwistle and couldn't wait to get away. When they finally settled he was posted to Kirkby, the first night there his garden gate came through his front window. he begged to come back to Oswaldtwistle.

His name was Powson.
My cousin became ex Mrs Powson a few years later.
