Was sitting watching the TV this aft and I heard something come through the letter box, so I goes to the door and its another chinese takeaway leaflet, its only when I saw the address of this "new" shop that I realise another good fish and chip shop gone, Trinity St Chippy was a good chip shop, I used to use it regularly at one time, but its no more:( very sad

After visiting Jay the other day, walked down through Ossy to get the bus opposite Moscow Mill Street -was sad to see that the old bakery we used to go to from Paddock House for our lunches has now become a Chinese takeaway!

That would be Lockwoods, that's been shut for years mobertol, Roy, whose wife was a Councillor until she died last year, never had any interest in the business, can't remember when it close but it must be 20 years ago

Had never noticed before John, sad though, they made good custard tarts -my favourite.

Used to love Vanilla slices and tried one last year -don't know how I ever managed to eat them they are so sweet!

Might be persuaded if they do good custard tarts, am partial to an Eccles cake too! Better if I avoid them though - am in the "Cake District" at the moment and will be on a diet shortly I fear:D
