The police here in moscow are nothing but evil. If you want help or are in trouble, don't even think of involving these people. Unfortunately they are paid about $200 a month and so need to take bribes from people and even rob you of money - I know this is true as it has happened to me. Had a machine gun pointed at me and had to hand over $200 just so they would let me and my friend go, we hadn't done anything, they just pulled our taxi over and realised we were foreigners. Lovely!! Anyway, an interesting thing in this photo is actually the car in the background on the right. You may notice it has blue number plates and a blue flashing light.. This you would think means it is a police car, but it doesn't. Moscow is one hell of a crazy place and if you've got $15,000 you can buy a special license from the government that allows you to break all traffic laws and do what you like without the police being able to do anything. Run red lights, go as fast as you can, drive down the wrong side of the road - it's all fine as long as you have a blue flashing light!!

Actually Roy, I paid the nice policemen to point their guns at you!!! Only joking - but aren't you worried that the Russian intelligence have read your post - your life could now be in danger!

Keep the pictures coming Roy, finding them very interesting. (Don't get yourself into trouble though.) The one about the police reads very scary.
