Can anybody help me please? I keep getting pop ups even though the blocker is set to high. They are doing my head in and slowing my PC down, any advise? Please keep it simple:o

What pop up blocker do you have?

Have you run your anti virus? You could be infected.

Also you haven't signed into windows messenger have you as that sometimes sends pop ups.

Try running your spyware as well.

What browser are you using - sounds like Internet Explorer.

Yes am with Internet Explorer and have just run my Adaware. Will see if that helps

Go to the Firefox homepage where you can download an add on which imports your favourites from Internet Explorer

It should have imported them automatically unless you unclicked that option. Have you checked bookmarks?

Just did it myself and my faves are there.

you could try this, during the setup it imports your IE stuff.

Firefox is good, its all about tryinga few and seeing what works with your 'head'

IE is not good IMHO, Kipax will be along shortly quoting some out of date stats.............

That is goolash....| have used IE for many years and had no problems whatsoever.....I have the right protection installed without problems.

Why? because it suits you, does it have to be goolash? (or did you mean goulash?) I would suggest that Bernadette tries one of the others and see which one suits HER personally, comments like this dont help when people are trying to give advice

Thats like saying its safe to have sex with someone who is hiv+ if you use a condom. You can risk it if you like.

I narly did that last week, managed to restrain my self.

One thing I ddo know it was'nt the hard drive, I can read it in another computer.
