I was told last night that the pub as shut again some one said the landlord had done a runner there was some trouble or other onsunday night seems heed had anought :rolleyes:

If I remember correctly, the last time the landlord did a runner from the Thorn he also tried to burn the place down. That was about 6 years ago.

That was Gary and a friend of his from the Stop & Rest being thrown through a window, after they'd complained about the swearing. :D

Nah......no sensible landlord or barman would serve Gary in the first place.

used to do friday nights there, sats- queens/ welly before that, cross guns- sundays, yep was great down church long ago.;)

look at it now all the pubs have gone the only ones left now are thorn which is c**p, guns not bad, queens doin well, and bridge i've not been in yet so can,t say out about that one:D church is on a downward spiral its gettin worse:eek::eek::eek:

Could well be. I've kind of lost touch I'm afraid. I did meet up with her again at a family do last year, but can't recall her partner's name.:confused:

the thorn inn used to be a lovely pub, no trouble just a great night out, i am talking twenty yrs plus ago. i know the landlord well.
