Another two - parter.
Name of the Pub being demolished and the name of the arrowed building. |
Re: THOTH`s Oakleaf Quiz-002
The pub is the Star which was in Nuttall Street. My uncle Bob Wilkinson's hardware shop was about quarter of a mile further along on the other side of the road. I don't know the answer to the second part of the question.

A question to Retlaw & Cashman -- are you saying that the arrowed building is Highams Mill ?

Re: THOTH`s Oakleaf Quiz-002
I know that the arrowed building is not very clear, in fact Gobsmacked said he couldn`t see the building ( try Specsavers or a duster on the monitor ) consider a smiley here.
However, just think about the location of the building in respect of its elevation -- then try again. |
Re: THOTH`s Oakleaf Quiz-002

I wonder if you would be kind enough to either post your pictures of Nuttall Street on the forum or PM them to me. I have great interest in that area and I am particularly looking for shots of my granparent's, later my uncle's, hardware shop at 75 Nuttall Street. Thank you, John. |
