I grew up facing the top gates of OHP on Manchester Road and the park played a major part in my life from 2 to 16. I've set this webby in my favourites and look forward to seeing it develop.

Ahhh, memories ! I grew up on Christchurch St and spent many hours "up the park". We had dens in the rock gardens ( the rockies to us) and played cricket on the grass, we played off ground tig on the roundabout and on the war memorial () and we sometimes got treated to a game of bowls with my parents.
Happy days and it's great to see the park looking so good again.

Just remembered, when the mansion was derelict we used to dare each other to go in, there were still bits of museum exhibits about the place including a huge aeroplane propellor, we never got very far up the stairs as the floor had caved in but it was very eerie !

OMG, I used to do exactly the same stuff, though looking at your profile, about 6 years earlier.
The snow pics reminded me of going sledging - I sure the snow was soooo much deeper then. Who remembers "The Big Dipper", sledging from the plateau near the rock gardens end of the big field to the right of the big tree up there!

My brother used to sledge the Big Dipper and came a cropper a few times ! One year he used a tea tray and the bruises were awesome.
