Hi Cashman, thanks for the info! What I was hoping for is a picture of an original "The Special Machine" the same as mine so that I can repair it to look like the original. I search all the internet and can't find the one I have. thanks.

When researching mangles, I got help from the curator at Towneley Hall Museum, Burnley. I suggest, Ronzalot, that you ask him. He may have advice to offer if nothing definite. There will be an advert for it in some magazine which curators have access to - possibly even an article about the firm
