Re: Blackburn Road, Church
Well i prefer the old pic, lol
Now its looks bloody awful. WONDER IF ANYONE HAS A PIC OF THE PALADIUM BEFORE IT WENT TO RUIN....A PICTURE OF IT IN ITS PRIME ;) |
Re: Blackburn Road, Church
That old picture takes me right back, that's how I remember Church Commercial. There's the green wooden bus shelter with the little garden next door and the public loos on the other side. The shops on the other side of the road, past the traffic lights, I remember Snell's the chemists being there.
It wasn't beautiful but it was a thriving community and it was alive. The modern picture looks like a waste-land. |
Re: Blackburn Road, Church
Didnt even know Church had a blue sky like that.....rare!

Re: Blackburn Road, Church
I remember that the double decker buses used to lean precariously as they turned right from Ossie onto Blackburn Rd going to Accy

Re: Blackburn Road, Church
I actually think they are making quite a decent job of this junction. Still work to be done, but looking quite pleasant.
