Is it not Ossy, the buildings look familiar.

I thought it was Church Street as well. Is that not the Town Hall peeping through the roof tops?

Certainly looks like their windows Bernie ... and two turrets on a building like that on Church Street.

He is being cute though, and the question is 'Which building was the photo taken from ?'. Ok. I'll start off with The Warners.

Taken from the top of St. Jame's church?

Re: New Picture Puzzle for Kaytex

The red brick building looks really familiar, spent ages trying to think where i had seen it. Is it not the building that can be seen from the railway beer garden? (not been in since last summer so cant remember if it was there or not) and if that the case the white building in the background would be the social services building on union street....I think

SO would say its taken from a roof of a building nr there, maybe railway or something

General Drapers on the Gable rings a bell with me, could be Abbey Street, but not sure. Can't remember seeing anything like that In Ossy Bernard, looking in the bottom right hand corner, sure the date is 1995 and there's a lot of buildings gone since then

June 1995 is when I took the picture.
But where was I when I took it, and its not
in Ossy. The Town Hall is not on it either.

Have'nt been up a church spire since 1980, any way the angles would be wrong.

I think it's the back of the Town Hall - was it taken from the top floor of the cinemas that was on Broadway.

The white building looks familiar - is it the old Burton's building?

If it is then the picture in the background is not the Town Hall, it's the library and the picture was taken from the Town Hall.

Not from Town Hall, I'd only go in there to throw eggs at he who thinks he must be obeyed.
Even a picture taken from the town hall, would not show that on the end of the library.
Anyway Katy has'nt responded yet she's still looking for her wings. A clue is that when I took that I was 60 ft up in the air, but where and how.

Near it was the Hydaulic Platform. I spotted them doing a drill so cadged a lift.
One or two came close to knowing the building, but the question was where was it taken from.

It has to be somewhere on Blackburn Rd. Top of Oxford St, there's been a few fires there.

Where abouts on Asda's carpark could you see anything like that. Viaducts in the way.

The only other place I can think is either bottom of bull bridge, or the other way the railway station. Although it seems the wrong angle for that.

Re: New Picture Puzzle for Kaytex

There's that car park under the viaduct, that looks about the right angle. Where King St Club is, or was.

I'm sure thats the drapers on Church Street, so another guess is you took the pic from the top of the arcade.

Me too Bernie .. just can't understand his comment that the Town Hall is not in the shot. Those windows are very distinctive.

Had a little tour around tonight, and cannot find another building with two of those pointy thingys. The round window on the white building is throwing me a bit .. but perhaps this is a bit of an elusion, and not actually next to the other buildings at ground level ... on a roof ?

Ok ... I'll move up a bit ... on The Bridge Pub. There again ...could even be further away if his camera were on zoom.

Clever clogs, it is the gable end of the shop on Church St, I took it from 60 ft up, on the hydraulic platform.
Yes it is a bit of the town hall in the background.
I said it was'nt, was waiting for you to respond.

Would'nt be able to get that angle from top of the arcade.

Do you want another picture.

You cheeky so and so .... didn't go down Church Street last night due to your comment re. Town Hall... turned left bottom of Church Street.

Yes, think our members enjoyed that Retlaw ... as they would have enjoyed Atarahs if you hadn't been such a spoilsport ... :p

We will just have to ignore any clues you give us, as now know will be on a false trail .... :D Going for me swim ... to refresh me endorphins for the next task.
