i wouldent but its shut down .it would be handy if it was still open
i would not get so bloody wet when its raining .
and have to walk MILES to the Miners

hmm I think the problem could be, with a-bob moving the location of the thread, I was refering to the above picture NOT the Corner stones of that particular pub, cheers.

The above picture is, I think the disused building opposite the Stag.

Ok so no one is going to get this one, I suppose Iwill have to spill the beans then.
It is the Willows Lane entrance to the Air Raid Shelters under the playground of what was St Oswalds Primary School. The shelters comprised a continuous corridor laid out in a square with side bays on the inside faces. I do not know if the shelter was filled in when the school was demolished. There is another entrance around the corner on Crown Street, which was also the main entrance to the school.
