Where would you buy IONLITE LUMINOUS TUBES I wonder?

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

Well I think they originate in California but I presume the photo is a little nearer to home than that.

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

Fancy you knowing that, Willow. Can I ask how you know?

is that the market hall ?

Beermonster 15-08-2004 17:32

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

When we find out where this picture is then we will have got the answer to the Fire Switch as it is on the same building.

Acrylic-bob 15-08-2004 20:58

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

Are you sure about that, Beermonster? Would I post two different photographs of the same building?

No, Chelle, it isn't the Market Hall.

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

It's the paintwork which gives us that impression. I thought the same.

Damn, I knew I was giving too much away.

Upstairs cafe round the corner from Argos.

Acrylic-bob 15-08-2004 21:19

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

If you mean the Regency Cafe, then you are getting colder.

Peel St Baptists? I know I've seen that colour of paintwork somewhere.

Acrylic-bob 15-08-2004 21:30

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

Wrong direction altogether.

WillowTheWhisp 15-08-2004 21:53

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

I'm wandering around in my head now. How about if I wander up Church St?

Acrylic-bob 16-08-2004 05:09

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

A wander along Church Street might be nice, there are some nice shops along there, but it won't help solve the puzzle, sorry.

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

:bangh8: Grr This is really frustrating me and I'm not going to be able to get on here for the rest of the week. I'll be wondering about it all week now.

Up the side of Blockbuster video?

Acrylic-bob 16-08-2004 18:37

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

That used to be Burton's menswear, didn't it? Sorry no.

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

My sister-in-law was downtown yesterday and kept coming across people staring up at buildings!!!

Particularly around Church Street and little Blackburn Road!!!

I wonder why??

Acrylic-bob 17-08-2004 07:07

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

:D That deserves a coconut- brilliant Darby, just brilliant!:D

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

I think the sign is above the old pet shop, church street.

Acrylic-bob 17-08-2004 14:50

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

It would be nice if it were, then I could award you the coconut. But, sadly, it isn't.

Acrylic-bob 20-08-2004 06:34

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

Ok it's clear that none of you are going to get this one, so I suppose I will have to eat the coconut myself. I'm never going to loose weight at this rate, and me with the dicky ticker!

What? Oh! you want to know where it is. Well, if you have a wander along Blackburn Road in a roughly western direction from the Town Hall, you will find a rather elegant parade of shops on the southern side of the road between the Yorkshire Bank and HSBC. In one of these shops the Accrington Observer and Times had their offices. If you look up to the left of their former premises you will see the object in question together with the answer to another puzzle pic. I told you it was cheeky.:D

A bit cheeky, this one.

Hey A-B, I wish you would talk "left and right" instead of "North and South" etc, cos I aint a clue which direction you mean sometimes    :) :) :)

Acrylic-bob 20-08-2004 07:50

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

The Sun sets over Blackburn, that is West anything on your right is North, anything on your left is south. and anything behind you is East. It's a rough guide but it works.

Failing that, find yourself a handy forest and examine the tree trunks. The side that moss grows on faces North.

I only got back into town today after a very wet and windy few days in Carnforth and found it at the side of Accrington Observer offices/shop! You've given it away now though so I don't feel so triumphant in having found it but here's my photo anyway!

Are they no longer in that shop? Where do they operate from now then? I must admit I didn't take a lot of notice of the shop when I went by and it is a few months (October last year in fact) since I was in there.

Re: A bit cheeky, this one.

Well done Willow, a consolation coconut is in order I think, and while it is not quite the victor's laurel, it is well earned and does come wrapped in gold style, paper effect, wrapping material. No expense spared here.
My assistant, the lovely Rubella, will be round with it first thing in the morning, always assuming that she can get the moped going, that is.

According to a new member, Lampman, the office is still open but with a skeleton staff.
