The East Lancashire regiment stable belt

Hi, I am researching the stable belts of the British Army. These are Regimental belts made of a webbing type material which often have horizontal stripes of different colours.Every Regiment had its own colours and could be identified from their belts. At the moment I am finding it very difficult to find any information about the stable belt worn by The East lancashire Regiment. If they had one it would have been in use in the late 1950's.Can anyone help me? :) Mick

Thanks for your suggestions but the problem I have is that the Regimental Museum say the East lancs didn't have a stable belt another website shows the colours of their stable belt. Which is true? I need an exmember of the Regiment to confirm it one way or the other.

If Jane the curator at the museum says they don't have a stable belt, then they don't have one.
I have a few hundred picture of East Lancs men in uniform, and access to hundreds more.
Iv'e never seen or heard of one. I've looked at the link Dave put up. You may be asking the wrong question, just because some one calls them a stable belt, it does'nt mean all regiments with different coloured belts use the same name.

Have you tried the link to the Great war forum

Thanks Dave and Retlaw for your help and advice. If Retlaw has many photographs Of the East Lancs Regt and there isn't any evidence of a stable belt being worn it would suggest the Museum are correct and the Regiment didn't have one. I could try the great War forum but stable belts came into general use in the 1950's which is just a little outside of the great War time period. Mick
