New Accrington
I'm a new member--greetings from across the Pond. I do family history research in and around Accrington. My grandmother, Mary Greenhalgh, was born on Barnes Street in 1880. Her family lived in and around that area: Lee Street, Abbey Street, Black Abbey Street, Hargraves Street, etc. One address I see on a recent certificate is Higher Fold, New Accrington--at least I think it may be an address. Can anyone tell me about this place?
I use a map website, <http://www.streetmap.co.uk> to find the streets through England. In addition, if there are any Accrington Greenhalgh family out there, please let me know. I am now trying to research current generation family. |
