Mention two of the names of the dead children being James Duckworth, and Robert Wilson.

How terribly sad -all so very young.

Used to live in a little village on the River Po called Arena Po where a whole generation of children died in the 1950's with their teachers and the local priest at the annual picnic -they were all drowned when drawn into a whirlpool on the river...life is full of terrible incidents like this.

Bob,
Thanks for your PM. I've tried to reply three times but my sent-box is empty. Did you get any of them?

This would appear to be the aftermath of the fire.

My grandparents always referred to part of Eagle St (from Blackburn Rd to Paradise St) as Railway Road.
