Interesting article -i wonder when was the last time anything was donated?

Are there any philanthropists around today or are they a thing of the past...

My mum did her thesis at Lancaster Uni. on Joseph Briggs and the Haworth Tiffany collection -must ask her what happened to it..

(Love the name by the way -shame it wasn't spelt Jenny (W)rennie!
At Uni. we had a graduate tutor called Bede Rundle (a philosopher) -obviously everyone called him Reed Bundle!):D

Went to visit Haworth yesterday to see the full Tiffany collection - love the nasturtium plaque -think it's my favourite piece, less obvious than some of the others but beautiful.

It was nice to see some of the pictures posted on this thread -my favourite "Laundress" was at the bottom of the stairs...provenance of the paintings was not written on them unfortunately.

Enjoyed the Accy Pals exhibition too and found 2 photos which are of interest to my aunt and a friend - wil be getting in touch with Retlaw about them shortly - well done for all the hard work Walter - seeing all those photos makes you realise they were people and not just numbers.

The trees in Oakhill Park and up at Haworth looked spectacular in the sunshine - great colours. It was a treat to re-visit an old haunt after many years...:)

Although I have already thanked him privately, I wanted to thank Walter (Retlaw) pubblicly for speedily sending me photos and articles relating to CP Renshaw (my Aunt's great-uncle) and JJackson (my friends ancestor) - both ladies were delighted with the information and in particular the photos as they had none of these relatives.:thankya:
