Need history of Sultan Street
 

Hi all accrintonians!

Currently, I live on sultan street, on the top block near peel park primary and there's been some mysteries that my family and I would like to know about. Now, I know that some may be skeptics, buy there's two presences that our family feel; a young girl that wanders around the house and an old man that sits at the top of the stairs. We've recently been doing some changes in the house, which seems to make the girl more active. The man has actually been mistaken for as my mum when she was in the bathroom downstairs by my aunt on one of her first visits. We feel the man staring around 90-95% of the tine, while my stepdad feels the girl stood at the bedroom door nearly every night.

What we all, mainly me, want to know is the history of the street. Has someone else had these experiences while living on the odd numbered side of the top of the street? Does anyone have any information about these two people? I've searched the Internet about the street and nothing relevant (ie zoopla etc) has come up. It's not an 'I need to know' thing, it's more of a 'I'd like to know' type of thing.

Nothing on my radar. There are groups who visit 'spiritual' locations and I once met a local; chap who did filming in them. Try to make contact with 'mediums'

What? You mean sort of, "Is there anybody there? Knock once for yes and twice for no."

Surely if a medium is worth his/her salt they will contact you when anything is actually happening?

Here are some old time remedies for deterring spirit visitations.

These are just self help suggestions which might work, or at least make you feel that you are doing something constructive to remedy the problem. (There is nothing worse than the negative feeling of helplessness to exacerbate the problem)

The smudging methods suggest using a mini 'torch' but I find that a twig with a few leaves stuck upright in a blob of blue tack on a porcelain plate will do (less of a fire risk)

A friend of mine told me a story regarding a house on sultan street she used to live there
about 7 years ago. Rather a scary story and I know the history.
Does the address have a 7 as one of the numbers.

All my friends family experienced what you have her little boy told his mum that he had seen the girl many times.

The history of the house not the street. She also experienced the mans presence all the time I am a sceptic however if it turns out to be the same house and think I will believe
very strange.

Sorry,. don't know any history, but well remember a bit of a character who once lived on second block down from Alice Street. She was called "little Nellie" - very small lady, always wore her husbands very wide trousers.
