That explains a lot. It means that by the time I came to live in Clayton, the Baptist church was already gone...so that is why I can't remember it.
I did not come to live in Clayton until 1966...but I thought the motorway work was done later than the sixties.
I remember the row of terraced houses on the same side as the Load of Mischief....in fact that used to be our 'local'
