Two Accrington churches of different denominations area about to join forces. CHRIST CHURCH, off Manchester road, and CANNON STREET BAPTIST - see page 42 of last weekends "Observer". Christ Church is temporarily closed due to a damaged roof.

Now this one totally baffles me because there are fundamental differences between Baptists and Anglicans - the obvious one being that the former do not "Christen" children but perform full immersion adult baptisms. How are they going to agree to differ?
