The one in the middle is the MacDonald clan colours. :D

Just the right size to keep certain parts warm if it got cold. Swinging free does have a disadvantage. :D

Atraditional one had a button these have a clasp but save the same purpose. If we hire a Jacobite kilt set up its a button one but Th Prince Charles set up is the clasp ones.
