In answer to Tin Monkey's question.

The daily questions aren't easy versus hard. They are just different questions. It has to be like this because some people were cheating, and having two attempts at the same questions, using different user names.

I've won three daily quizes this month, and the rest of the time done fairly badly, so it does even out over time, for all of us

I think you are in with a good chance of some more karma for whinger of the month...again.:D

A lot of the questions do have a U.S. bias. That's because the questions are taken from the Fun Trivia site, and a lot of people that submit quizes are American.

You can get up to speed with American Presidents, and the state tree/gemstone/flower etc, by playing the quizes here. It's good fun, and there is a Lancashire section a few of us play in as well.:)

The other day I knew I had 9 correct answers. The tenth was a question about American dog food brands of the 1930's. I was amazed when 7 people had 10/10. I like to think they had a different quiz from me, no one can guess that well so many times.:D

More like ditch cruising, but great fun. Ran into a particularly unpleasant couple of pubs displaying large "Two for One" signs, and having all sorts of noisy quizzes and/or karaoke. Ran into a few good ones as well, so all was not lost. The Black Country Museum and the city centre moorings and Brindley Place in Birmingham are very good, too!

Perhaps my favorite spot for mooring was at the top of the Tardebigge flight of locks, a lovely, quite location with great views westward over Worcestershire. If the local pub (The execrable "Tardebigge") improved from rubbish to passable, this spot would begin to approach perfection!

And we had lovely weather for our time in London. Fortunate, considering the weather this summer. Visited with Pendy and David, too!

Hope you are doing well, Rindy, and that the Parkinson's has been behaving. Debbie's dad, my future father-in-law, has had it since about 1994, so I will have to do a bit more reading up. Can you recommend any websites?

You do need to mail the host to be given a password, you can't use the one you have if you're playing the quizes on the host site.

I played this morning, and it was okay.

The site does reboot (probably the wrong technical term) between 10-10.30 am, and for some reason on Saturday it often takes longer than that, up to an hour sometimes.

Ocasionally there are glitches on the host quiz site, and they're never rectified until Monday.

I have this vision that the H.Q. for Fun Trivia is some swish office complex in the States, when in fact it's probably all run from someone's bedroom.:D

I think it was Lindsay playing late on Friday night, which eventually pushed me out of the top ten, and meant you'd won the month.

There's a note from the host site saying it was all down to daylight saving changes in the U.S.

I can't get in today. I had a problem with my computer last night so cleared all temp int files, and cookies, then ran spybot.

I have tried to log in with my username and password, (and I have checked I am using the right password .............I've looked at the email I got sent), but it keeps coming up with an error message saying invalid user id/password.

Help?

I've been playing on another site, I think they all must be conected, theyusually email me uestions every week day tere were no Monday Tuesdays didn't turn up until 6-30pm, but today they're back to mormal

Happily the other glitches, that sadly caught out eggnchips yesterday, seem to have been sorted.

I can't work out when the server resets now. It might be back to 10-10.30 am GMT.

I think it's worth hitting the standings, then back to the main page, to check it's working properly.

It's great fun. Frustrating because some of the questions are very obscure, but fun all the same.

If the quiz mistress happens to see this can we have the questions set to random catagories again please?

It's getting a bit samey, always having the same catagories on the same day every week.

It'd be fun, again frustrating fun, to occasionally have geography, or religion etc. once again.
