As far as I can make out, history isn't your usual facts and figures.

It just refers to anything that's happened in the past.

Which means the questions can be about anything at all.

Didn't matter that much when we all had different questions.

Certainly were, even the Marie Curie of Accyweb only managed 7!! Due to my bad showing over the last few days I'm now training by doing various quizzes from the funtrivia site.

Just had a peek and it looks like all the regulars have played - am really mad with myself -i had 10 and changed the answer of the number of plugs at the last minute-b+gg+r! Would have had 10 -it was my best subject though...

Probably be "UK" tomorrow so will be last again -c'est la vie!

I managed to be quite fast but changed my last answer -it was right in the first place -damn...I'm always doing that.

Today's was the first of the new series -thought it was difficult, even though it was mostly more modern music -hadn't heard of a lot of the groups but the last question was easy!

The last time a woman won the quiz was the lovely Westender, in August 2009.

Very sadly she's no longer with us. She passed away in the November of that year.

Have been thinking about your comment yesterday on the quiz board andi rather like the nun idea... Sister Susie Sunflower has a certain ring to it... the female equivalent of the herbalist and gardener Brother Cadfael, tending her plants and looking after her animals (we used to keep goats and chickens at one time). I would have to invent a non religious order - shouldn't be too difficult for an aging hippy who investigated communes at one time.

I was at both: first 2 years at Frederick St. and the rest at Wordsworth Rd. We might have passed in the corridor! When I was in 1st year each form had their own 6th former, I remember ours was called Gina.
