Time for a challenge I think between you , me and Steve. Just to liven things up a bit. If we do well enough we could do a collective assault on first place - divide and conquer!!

Reckon Sue would echo those sentiments if she were here. Personally I've not had a bad couple of days so can't complain....and we only get the odd sport question now and again.

I'm going to start grumbling, about having to use my non-dominant hand, which is becoming as useless as my right hand.

I'm going to investigate if there's a mouse that can be controlled by my gob.

I'm sure when the quiz first started the subjects came totally randomly.

Perhaps someone set them, and this is the default setting, with individual questions from different subjects.

At least we'll never get a day with ten questions about American college football....so stop the whinging, or you'll get a slap.

Just as well you've slowed down a bit, as far as we mere mortals are concerned, and you're still pretty damn fast compared to me and most of the others.

Bit of a fluke my "win" the other day.

Like the idea of a "mouth controlled mouse" - could be a bit of a tongue-twister:rolleyes::D

Am not grumbling today - i just made a complete cock-up trying to be fast. Am in my "holes in the brain" time of the month (that's my excuse) -a slap might bring me back to my senses!;):D

Have just had a bit of a revelation! I have been trying to diet again over the last few days, no breakfast= bad results on Trivia quiz. Must start eating properly again - never mind the middle-aged spread, time to get the challenge going again. Have slipped back to 7th place from 5th and haven't lost an ounce in the process:mad:

Menu for tomorrow's breakfast: 2 weetabix with skimmed milk, freshly squeezed orange juice and my usual, 2 mega-mugs of Tea.
(Afraid to admit i do buy milk even though we have a tank full of fresh stuff on the farm!):o

How come if I got the same score as Steve and was only 2 seconds slower than him, I only get 2 points today and he gets 5? It's not fair:rolleyes::mad:

Bad day today, own fault, self-induced headache due to over-indulging the evening before. Should know better at my age, will never touch a glass of wine ever again:D

Interesting battle developing at the top -Mancie and Rindy are fighting for top spot - Dave is doing well too this month -is the Quiz Wiz avatar the key to his success this month I wonder?;):)

It's a fine line between top and bottom, but I reckon when everyone's played the bottom 3 will all be on the same points.
Overall it's still a close run thing between us so should be an interesting run-in.....looks like Dave's out of sight.

See that Dave wrote in the shout box that he changed 2 answers and got them wrong, I have stopped doing that as it's nearly always fatal, your first intuition is usually right.

I think the fact that it's always mixed Trivia now is putting pressure on the time factor, making us more prone to errors.

Mancie still has to play yet and some others so i don't think it's over yet for today. I think I might catch you up today and perhaps Dave too as he's not done too well -feeling the pressure of being in the top 5 I reckon!

Rindy is pretty consistent so he should hang in there in the top 2 or 3.

As to Fish on a Friday etc. -I also begin to suffer from nostalgia. Don't know about "good old days" though - at least it's eliminated the dreaded UK trivia for me:D as embarassing at times:o

Coming in late isn't always the best tactic, my one and only win was in November when I ended on the same points and time as Mancie....I won cos I played early-doors.

I'm not sure about that.

Same score/time draw.

Used to think it was first one to play wins, but not sure now.

Think it might be alphabetical, with lower case being put before a player's name which has a capital letter.

I always play after breakfast.

I never look if anyone else has played, or what their score was.

The only time playing later might help if everyone was on 9.

You might go slower, looking for any possible clues, hoping to get a ten.

My fastest ever time today -still room for improvement though as Rindy was 11 secs faster than me -that's over 1 sec per question. I bet i'm not second for long either...

Didn't seem particularly quick, when I was playing.

I did lose time, trying to get my hand to move the mouse, so I could click finish.

All you newbies will soon be getting fast times, trust me.

I think part of it is getting used to how the questions are asked.

Super speedy Norwich has it today....so far.

Didn't pm Eric or anyone else about going into hospital - it was literally go now for this blood transfusion or else from my GP on the phone so I didn't have time. Only just managed to post the message on here, felt I had to say something or you might think I'd been abducted by aliens!

Just had a peek at todays' quiz, played later, new tactic, apart from watching the tennis it gave time for my Migraine to be slightly dimmed by some pain-killers (it's been coming on for the last couple of days:()

No-one has scored a 10 yet -my guess is that the sporty question is the one that's causing problems.

Steve you've beaten me again, but Dave has done worse so i don't know where that will leave us in tomorrow's standings. My mum has been storming up over the last few days and is first again so far. SteveR, NS and Mancie still to play though.
