It says this on the website

This website has been designed and created by the 5 district authorities in Pennine Lancashire (Burnley BC, Hyndburn BC, Pendle BC, Ribble Valley BC and Rossendale BC) and NHS East Lancashire. Affiliated partners include Lancashire County Council, Lancashire Police and the Fire & Rescue service. It is designed to support the public service partner websites across Pennine Lancashire. At the moment, opportunities for online, interactive communication are limited, and residents have told us that they want to get more involved with, and be more aware of, issues in their area.

Hence the development and creation of the feedbackonline website. Supported by all public service providers in the area, this provides an opportunity for residents to be more engaged in local public service activity in a manner that suits their own individual needs and preferences.
Visitors can register with the site to make greater use of the features and functionality available to them. There is also the potential to automatically tailor your homepage so that you are always shown the information that is of greatest interest to you.

Whether the site is used daily, weekly, monthly or yearly is entirely down to the needs of the individual user. Our objective is simply to provide local information and opportunities that will help to improve quality of life, and develop understanding and awareness of public sector services and activities.

So you don't buy anything in shops or use fuel or insurance. You just keep your money stuffed under your mattress and spent none of it.

I wish I could manage that.

Perhaps this would be an opportune moment to remind folk that accyweb, (unlike other sites), isn't publicly funded and donations to the site help keep it running even for the none taxpayer.

If you mean the fact that I don't have any donations against my name Neil, I do my penance in the backroom and give my time not money, (we can't all have glamerous jobs such as Moderator some of us work to keep the site going).

So long as he keeps giving his time to the site he is allowed.

Can I just add that donations are even better if given on a regular basis rather than just as a one off to get your little badge?
The servers and other sundries have to be paid for every month.

Well when one of the original Pendle witches was called Old Mother Demdike, and another was called Nutter, quite a few names spring to mind, but I'm much too polite to share my thoughts publicly.

Re: New website

Is Pennine Lancashire as shown on the map on that site the plan for a merger of the Borough Council's do you think?

Is losing our MP the first stage of the Constituency of Pennine Lancashire with one MP and one Council with Lancashire broken up into regions?
