The only time I ever clocked in was when I first started at Shopfitters in the 60s, when I became an out fitter it was back to the good old time sheets, clocking in cards don't tell porkies:D

I'll Take some pics and post them.
As to where they come from, up to now i have no idea, I nearly had one from Cadburys and turned one down from Flowers Brewery Stoke.
I have 5 which are portable ones which i had never heard of till i started collecting them, up until that point i thought they all went on the wall!!!! :D:D

Why, did you fiddle your time sheets?

When did the Shopfitter's close?

The decline of British industry.

No wonder the eastern Europeans seem so appealing to some companies.

:rolleyes::D

Took this for you at the Mining Museum in Wakefield on Saturday, Alan.

Attachment 18074

And this was where the miners collected their 'disc' before entering the mine, to be put back after their shift, so that they knew who was still down there.

Attachment 18075

A mind blowing experience that visit.

Thanks Kate. I've missed out on a couple of those, either to expensive, or they are down on the south coast. I've got my eye on one from Rolls Royce at the moment.
I will take some pics of some of mine and post them soon. :D

Funny thing is it was recognised that you booked 8am to 10pm every day while you were away from base, the only thing that was stamped on was flying, ie booking a nights living away allowance but being at home, if caught its was instant dismissal, no warning no second chance end of story

I´ve never clocked in but did have to suffer flexi time when I worked for the police.

After either breaking or losing a few yellow plastic keys they gave up on me. I hated the whole thing.
