WHILE ON HOLIDAY IN SETTLE ,BY THE BANKS OF THE RIBBLE ,WE MANAGED TO SEE THE ODD 1 OR 2 BUT WAS TOLD SALMON SEAON WAS THE END FOR OCT THIS AREA.....:confused:

Starts in Febuary in some places Think that is when its starts on the Tay but the winter rain will have made the water muddy. One of the best places I have seen them is on the River Tieth at Callander were there is a pool they rest in and has the advantage of the poolnot being allowed to be fished.

Only on Salmon Rivers. Not all Rivers have Salmon in em.
