Hatton VS Prettyboy

Big Fight Looming Where Is Everyone Watching It ... Times I Wish I Was Old Enough To Go Pub :(.

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

I'll be watching at home on PPV with a few friends who are fight fans. It's only going to cost about $25, and I think that I will get value for money, not like in the days when a 20 yr old "Iron" Mike would demolish his opponent in a minute or two, often less. These guys are true warriors, and I expect a great fight. I would love to see Hatton win; but I'm not holding my breath.

I somehow think that it will go the distance ... Floyd on points. But, who knows ... I lost money on the Tyson v Buster Douglas fight.

really DO want Hatton to beat the crap of "Carnival Head" mayweather, unfortunately the Bookies are not known for giving away cash.;)

Yeah, many fight fans would love to see Mayweather get a serious attitude adjustment; but I just don't think Hatton can do it. However, there is no one around who has a better chance. Hatton has to knock him out to win ... bottom line ...

Watching in pub with twenty mates Hatton to win fourth round via one hell of a knockout. Can't wait to hear the crowd when it happens!!

agreed, would add though Hatton has beaten the Bookies in the past, so though its a long shot, it IS possible.

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

Did hear on radio that Mayflower can punch, but if Hatton can keep punnelling his opponent he's got a good chance of beating him even though Mayflower is supposed to be the heavier puncher.

I'll go with Hatton just cos he's a Brit and cos he's not big headed with his attitude, he grew up on the streets and knows what it take to fight and win.

cashman 07-12-2007 22:00

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

just watched weigh in Hatton 145 lbs- Mayweather 147 lbs, 2lbs is quite a bit to give to a fighter as good as mayweather, just hope Hatton aint too fired up, n stuffs him big time.;)

I reckon Mayweather is going to rip Hatton apart to be honest..

Hopefully hatton will win this, saying that as long as its a good match i dont really care who wins.

I also realised that the fight wouldn't be on until about 3am and I'll be in the land of nod by then. I find that I can't stay up late anymore and if I do, then I'm like a zombie for days afterwards. Seems like I'm getting old. :(

There are quite a few fights on so it doesn't seem to expensive and it is a one off. I will be in bed as well, age has a lot to answer for:)

nice ref....NOT..

nice to see him deduct a point from hatton for an alleged rabitt punch even tho it hit the rope, but nowt wer said when mayweather ducked below the waistline every time hatton went nr....pathetic.....

shame the yank has retired on a high, would loved to have seen a rematch with an unbiased ref...

fair play tho he caught him with a cracking shot :(

mani 09-12-2007 05:39

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

double post...

mani 09-12-2007 05:40

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

the ref totally ruined it - he shud've stopped mayweather's constant ducking. but what can u say?

the rematch will happen - it was talked about even b4 the fight - most likely at wembley with a 10m purse for each fighter.

ricky was just firing in and not thinkin about his punches mayweathers reach in the end paid dividends...

his next fight will either be cotto or hatton again

on a side note - some hatton-wannabe smashed the window of henry gregsons bikes i presume after the fight...

cashman 09-12-2007 11:05

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

hatton would be very foolish to go for a re-match, he put up a great show, but at the end of the day mayweather is too classy. its no good blaming the ref, biased as he was, stop letting yer heart rule yer head, hatton was outclassed, beaten by a better man.

like i say unfortunatly it wont happen, as i said mayweather retired himself from boxing after the game

" im retiring from boxing before boxing retires me "

mani 09-12-2007 15:50

yeah but he said the same thing after the dela hoya game

Spot on..No way should Hatton even think about a rematch, he looked so one dimensional last night, just walking onto Mayweather's jab..Credit where credit is due the Pretty Boy was out of this world with his speed and agility..

It's not all that bad ... Last night, I paid for the fight and my buddies brought the booze and the pizza ... I think I made money on the deal. And even tho' it was not the greatest fight in history, it was decent. Not in the same league as the Gatti vs Ward fights, but it was the centre piece of a good night's fun with friends.:)

Nickelson 09-12-2007 18:34

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

i wud like to see the following fights happen before these 3 fighters retire ;

Mayweather VS Hatton - Rematch

Mayweather VS Jones Jnr.

Hatton VS Jones Jnr.

rishton blue 09-12-2007 20:53

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

seeing as roy jones juniors last fight was at light heavyweight i dont think those fights will happen.

Jae Swift 10-12-2007 02:44

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

Jones would waste hatton, mayweather would waste jones.

and as for the rematch, mayweather would kill him again.

I've got my money in my pocket thanks to mayweather anyway.

:) easy does it.

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

I had £20 on hatton and was utterly disappointed. I think the best part of the fight was his jokes at the end. Thats the spirit.

Re: Hatton VS Prettyboy

THERES ONLY ONE RICKY HATTON
THERES ONLY ONE RICKY HATTON
HE TOOK A BIG FALL
BUT HE GAVE IT HIS ALL
WALKING IN A HATTON WONDERLAND

The Hitman is still undefeated at light welterweight and is the best fighter in the world at this class. Everybody knocking him should think why. He shot for the moon and crashed back to Earth. So what? At least he can say he tried to reach for the stars and he can have no regrets. It wouldve been easy for Ricky to duck the fight with arguments about location, weight etc, as so many fighters do. But Ricky took the challenge and will know deep down he couldve done no more.

Were still proud of you Ricky!!!
