Nora Batty batted out.
Ah, Kathy Staff, who played this character has died at the age of 80.
You do feel these characters become part of the family, and can only thank her for the laughs that she gave me with her love/hate relationship with Compo and, of course, those tights. Over to you Margaret R. |
Re: Nora Batty batted out.
No stocking filler for her this Christmas then!

Ones that had lost the buttons - replaced, in emergency, with aspirin tablets! (Ah, those were the days). :D Sad to hear of this lady's death. She was a very good comic actress and gave us a character that everyone remembers. |

Vera Hopkins - Coronation Street Wiki She had the shop before Blackburn actress Madge Hindle, who played Renee Bradshaw/Roberts. If you click on her daugghter Tricia, it brings up her profile, and I bet you remember her, as she also did A Handful of Songs, the children's I.T.V. lunchtime programme. |
Re: Nora Batty batted out.
She was also in Crossroads for quite a while playing Doris Luke, and appeared with David Jason and Ronnie Barker in Open All Hours, playing Mrs Blewitt, RIP Catty
