Hard faced Bernie, there's some real cheating scumbags, but the problem is they don't get there just deserts, how many people featured this week were shown to be repeat offenders. On the other hand what about the two lasses in Brazil were jailed for making false insurance claims, but had it commuted to community service, against which they are now appealing, looks like they don't take any nonsense in other countries:(

Yes and people like this are taking money away from the people who are entitled to it, I really don't know how they manage to get high rate DLA so easily:(

They lie through their teeth Bernie, I know of one chap who wanted mobility, he said he couldn't go to the office so the assessing GP came to his home, they had brought the bed down stairs and he was walking about holding on to furniture when the assessing GP arrived. The same day this same bloke was seen bodily lifting an engine out of a car, the next time I saw him he was driving a brand new motability car:rolleyes: The trouble is Bernie its only if your turned down and appeal that you have to go before a medical panel, before that you only have to satisfy GP incidentally not your own, so its easy to pull the wool over the eyes

I think the rules must have changed John, when Ian applied for DLA he had to be seen by somebody at our doctors surgery.

Could well be Bernie, In my day you had to see another doctor not your own, which I thought was stupid and needed changing so it must have done so
