I suppose someone had to watch it. Thank God World Championship Athletics were on the other channel. Saved me from falling out with my nearest and dearest, or at worst causing criminal damage to the TV set.

I watched it but I was mainly interested in the deluded ones, not the ones who could sing. That large girl from Ramsbottom was there again, with her sister this time, it's sad really. Quite a few there who, like her, don't understand that they are not singing the right notes and/or have dreadful voices. :D

Loved the 3 teens who said they wanted to prove not all young people are bad/horrible. They were truly abysmal but when they were given 4 Nos they slunk off muttering threats of violence and gawd knows what else to the panel of judges.

Bit of a con job going on methinks regarding 1st auditions in front of a live audience. I know they had auditions about 2 months ago which weren't in front of an audience.

Like a rerun of BGT the only things missing the buzzers and three red crosses

Re: Who watched the new one then? X Factor!

The first auditions are in front of TV people, not the panel we see on the programme, some acts have been judged at least twice before Cowell and co. see them. They put a few in for the televised judging and they always add in some dreadful ones for entertainment value, it's like bear-baiting.

How many times are they going to let Emma Chawner audition?

She can't sing and it's not funny any more.

Bye bye and evicted from Ramsbottom, but hello and welcome to Hyndburn.

Yes farewell Diana Knickers, and Holly Golightly-Weeping, we are still on the show biz map, thanks to them being rehoused in the borough.

Re: Who watched the new one then? X Factor!

I think I preferred the old style auditions when it was just the contestant and judges in the room with no backing music.

It feels now like they are starting the 'journey' half way through as the bit where they got up on stage in a big venue used to come much later on.

I liked watching the transformation of Leona Lewis from shy girl in a baseball cap singing unaccompanied to the judges, to the polished star she became.

It feels like a big piece of the show has been missed out.
