Are you one on your own

Mentioning Cilla Black on another thread, reminded me of an item on the "One Show" last night, which Cilla was on. She changed her name years ago and it seems there isn't another Cilla in this country, and there is only one Adrian Childs too (which is a blessing) but unfortunately only three Christin Blakely's:D.

This actually started me thinking, I've never really been into genealogy really but may just give it a whirl. I don't think for a minute there is only one JF in the country I know of a few Farrer's in fact the music for the Weakest Link was written by Paul Farrer and there is at least another Farrer in Ossy or was the last time I saw an up-to-date electoral register about 8 years ago. There are also a few in Blackburn (who I know are related to me) and if I remember there is a Farrer Street in either Nelson or Colne, not sure which.

Does any one else on here know if they are an only one in the country, could be fun finding out :D

There's loads of me's.

There's a British stage actor of the same name, and a voice over artist.

There's also an American D.J., and a photographer, plus lots of others as well.

So sadly my name isn't unique, but spookily we all share the same charcteristics...that of being sweet and humble.

:D

Farrer Street is in Nelson. I have just looked up the name Farrer but there is nobody in the Guiild of One--Name studies collecting information about them. There was a famous botanist of that name living at Clapham near Ingleton - Google him.

There's another Gayle Knight - she's an American author.

One way of finding out if there are more of you is to try and get a new email address.

When they say your first choice isn't available and offer you [email protected], you know you're not unique. :D

I personally know 3 other me’s. None of whom are related to each other or me. BUT there are 4 ways of spelling my name.
